* Try to adjust STEALTH - MINER to be very efficient for your ship . Many people make the mistake to calculate Reset Laser time for every 180 sec ( for Strip Miners), 60 sec ( for Mining Lasers ) or a bit less and in this way you'll obtain a wrong Mining Cycle number and a lot of time wasted, because asteroids many times are depleted earlier. Never let your laser to perform a full run, 180 sec ( for Strip Miners), 60 sec ( for Mining Lasers ), reset them between 80-120 sec (Strip Miners)or 48-55 sec (Mining Lasers), even if you'll run more Mining Cycles, this is very important for your ship and more efficient.
Example : Lets take for example a Hulk with :
-- 3 x Strip Miners
-- 17199 m3 Cargo
-- 1015 m3 ( the ore amount, of every Strip Miner received in 180 sec )
First you need to find the time to fill up your cargo . To find how, use this brief :
3 * 1015 = 3045 --- the amount what you get it in 180 sec with all 3 Strip Miners
17199 / 3045 = 5.648 --- the aprox number of cycles what you need to fill the cargo ( but of course you can use in Stealth Miner number with dot and only round numbers)
5.648 * 180 = 1016 seconds --- THIS IS THE HOLE TIME WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO FILL YOUR CARGO AT EACH RUN (aprox 17 min)
Now, depends how many Cycles you want to run : (7,8,9 or 10 etc...)
If you set up the macro at 10 Mining Cycles for each run , you can obtain the time for each Cycle like this :
1016sec / 10 (desired number of Cycles ) = 101.6sec for every Mining Cycle (that means, your ship will reset lasers at every 102 sec )
So now you have the correct time to can run a perfect setup for your ship like:
- Reset Lasers Every: 102 sec
- Mining Cycles : 10
- Target time : 4 sec
- Run to Belt and Back to Station : 75-80 sec both
- Undock and Dock time: 40-45 sec both
With this setup, every run cant be more than 21-22 minutes (including the transport to the Station) and also very efficient.
You can use same brief to calculate and set up your miner even if your ship use Mining Laser Tech 1 or 2.
